HI THERE! WELCOME TO ELEVATE SPORTS NUTRITION.
My name is Morgan Walker, and I am so excited that you are here. For those of you who don’t know me, I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from central Pennsylvania with a heart full of enthusiasm for all things sports nutrition and wellness. I have spent the last several years of my career helping athletes, fitness enthusiasts, families, and everyday individuals unlock their full potential by properly nourishing their bodies.
As a Registered Dietitian I completely understand that nutrition can be a bit tricky sometimes. With all the fads, trends, and conflicting advice out there, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. My mission with this blog is to bring more realistic evidence-based nutrition guidance to the internet. Just real, science-based nutrition tips, recipes, and insights to help you be informed in nourishing your body and your absolute healthiest self.
In my private practice, I work with individuals and groups to take this one step further. When it comes to living a healthy lifestyle, there is also often a disconnect; we tend to know what is good for our bodies but we don’t always act accordingly. Elevate Sports Nutrition aims to mend the gap between knowing and doing. With this company I have made it my mission to empower my clients to master nutrition skills that will not only benefit you now, but for years to come.
I strongly believe that nutrition is a foundation of long-term health, and I teach my clients how proper nourishment can elevate all different areas of their life.
But first and foremost before diving into blogging and sharing my knowledge, I want to give you a glimpse into who I am beyond the RDN credentials.
Here are a few things you may not know about me:
Before becoming a Dietitian, I was a strength and conditioning coach. I spent several years as a strength coach working with high school, college and professional level athletes. My most recent position was as the high performance coach within the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Although I no longer coach strength and conditioning, it remains a huge part of my personal life.
I’m a foodie at heart. I love celebrating and gathering around food, as well as teaching others that a balance exists between healthy eating and enjoying all of your favorite treats. At the moment, if I had to pick favorite foods, sushi, red velvet cake, all breakfast foods, and smoothies would be at the top of the list.
I have a history of disordered eating. Another significant aspect of my journey is my own experience with overcoming an eating disorder. I struggled deeply throughout most of my high school and college career but this experience deeply influenced my drive to become a Dietitian. I learned to see food as fuel and something my body deserved. I intend to help others create their own path towards a healthy relationship with food and their bodies, and be their best self physically and mentally.
I’m a proud mom! I am blessed with a 1.5-year-old daughter who is vibrant and full of energy, with another little boy on the way. Navigating the changes and challenges of being a mom have taught me the importance of flexibility and finding balance in all aspects of life.
Thank you for joining me on this exciting journey towards better nutrition, improved performance, and a healthier, happier you. If you are curious about my professional background or are interested in what my clients are saying you can read more about my qualifications here or check out my client testimonials page.
Happy fueling!
